Thanks for the many residents who came out on May 1 to join our community clean-up. In two hours, we collected 15 bags of garbage from the village core and beyond. Lurking in the ditches and ravines were enough large items like construction waste, appliances, and tires, to fill half a pick-up truck. Volunteers brought the large items to the roadside and called the city’s 311 service to arrange for pick-up. With your help, we’re keeping Cumberland clean and green!
This year’s 41st annual Maplefest served 1560 people at the Maple Hall in Cumberland over two days. The Lions Club will use the $5200 proceeds to support many worthy causes in our community.
