Environmental Assessment for improvements to the 174

The City of Ottawa and the United Counties of Prescott-Russell are undertaking a multi-jurisdictional Environmental Assessment study for improvements to Ottawa Road 174 from the "split" to County Road 17 at Landry Road in Rockland.

The following document was presented to the City of Ottawa's Transportation Committee on December 12, 2011 and will be used as the basis for tendering the contract for the environmental assessment.

The Cumberland Community Association is monitoring this issue closely and will be active in public consultations to ensure that the surrounding community, the Ottawa River and the related ecosystem are protected.

The EA is expected to take two years to complete.  We understand that public consultations will take place throughout the process. We invite Cumberland residents to get involved in this important issue.
