Cumberland Village Community Association Annual General Meeting

Come out, meet your neighbours and participate in community discussions. We will report on our accomplishments, elect our new executive and discuss our priorities for the year ahead. Councillor Rob Jellett will update residents on local and city-wide issues and respond to your questions.

At our Annual Meeting, we will make a motion to revert to our original name: Cumberland Community Association.  We are also seeking area representatives from all corners of our community. If you can represent your neighbourhood on important issues, we would like to hear from you.

Whatever your area of interest: trail development, beautification, social events, city-wide issues, the Farmers’ Market, business development and water issues in the village – there’s lots of opportunity to contribute to your community, no matter how much or how little time you have available.

The Cumberland Village Community Association is updating its constitution. The proposed changes will be presented to residents for a vote at the Annual General Meeting.

The three main changes are:
1) to revert to the association's original name: Cumberland Community Association, to more accurately reflect the geographic location of the residents we serve.

2) to offer membership for no charge, upon completion of a membership form. Our goal is for the majority of residents to connect with Cumberland as members. Residents will also be able to join by signing up on our website.

3) to update wording in the document to reflect our current activities.
